Art of the Title
I love title sequences in films and television. Some of them not only set the scene for what’s to come, but are an entity in their own right. Some of my recent favourites include Rome, The Tudors and also Carnival. As for my own personal Titles Hall of Fame, The God Father and 007 are firmly ensconced in there together with Se7en as well as many others, most of which are represented in this great sequence of titles produced by Art of the Title which bills itself as:
At Art of the Title, we are the leading online resource of title sequence design, spanning the film, television, conference, and videogame industries. Featuring title design from countries around the world, we honor the creators and innovators who contribute to the field, discussing and displaying their work with a desire to explicate, facilitate, and instigate.
I think it’s a worthwhile effort and I’m glad I discovered it and I think I might lose myself in great title sequences in the hope of further inspiration for some of our own creations.
